Over the last couple of days we have been at the Small Cells MENA 2012 conference. Lots of operators are deploying small cells, in the Middle East especially – and with good reason. In UAE, for example, Business Monitor reports that mobile penetration is over 150 per 100 inhabitants, with data subscriptions increasing rapidly.
Along with the challenges in the region which we mentioned in our previous post, such as providing mobile data coverage for high levels of indoor users in built up urban environments, mobile owners in MENA will benefit hugely from increasing numbers of small cell installations.
Watch our latest video in which Steve Wines, our Senior Solutions Architect, takes you through the big themes of MENA 2012 and the exciting opportunities opening up in the region.
