Ubiquisys has become an official sponsor of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks baseball team for the 2011/2012 season, which has just begun. Based at the famous Fukuoka dome, the Hawks are one of the top baseball teams in Japan, last winning the Pacific League title in 2010.
Tickets for the Ubiquisys seats are provided to local Social Welfare Councils, who distribute them to people who would not normally be able to attend the games, such as nursing home residents and children from little league teams.
The sponsorship underlines the close and long-standing relationship between Ubiquisys and SoftBank, as the companies work together to transform the mobile experience through femtocell and small cell technologies.
