Ubiquisys at Mobile World Congress 2012

Posted by Keith Day

Attending Mobile World Congress next week? Then come and see Ubiquisys for insights on the latest commercial developments and innovations in small cells. We’re on the left side of the Avenue at AV92, not far from the main entrance. Here’s a snapshot of what you can expect to see…

Ubiquisys FemtocellSmart cell demonstration

Ubiquisys is demonstrating smart cells, a new type of small cell.  These cells combine the latest 3G/LTE/WiFi small cell with a new Ubiquisys communications-tuned computing module based on Intel® architecture. Smart cells add massive processing power and storage at the edge of the network, and we’ll be demonstrating how third-party developers have already added dynamic content management and carrier WiFi optimisation to this exciting new platform.

Operator-deployed small cells on display
A range of commercially launched small cells for residential, enterprise and public access, deployed today in Europe, Asia and the US – including the Homecell from Mosaic Telecom.

In addition to deployed small cells, we’ll be showcasing innovative new products from our hardware partners SerComm, Tecom and Gemtek. We will also preview our latest working prototypes, including the G3-micro, which sets a new benchmark for miniaturisation and energy efficiency in a commercial-grade residential small cell.

Ubiquisys technology can be seen far beyond the Ubiquisys stand. Check out NEC in Hall 8 stand A125 for example. And for a broad perspective of the small cell ecosystem today, don’t miss the Small Cell Forum stand in Hall 1 G19.
